PLACES TO VISIT WHILST AT POYERSTON FARM


Carew Castle

We are ideally situated for exploring the splendour of the only Coastal National Park in Britain with its award winning beaches and rugged coastline. The spectacular coastal path is  just a few miles from Poyerston.


Tenby Harbour

Pembroke  Castle and Carew Castle with it's working tidal mill and Celtic Cross are both on our doorstep.

The easily accessible beach at Freshwater East is just a few minutes drive away, along with Manor bier, Tenby, Freshwater West, Broad Haven South, and not forgetting the paradise found at the hidden bay of Barafundle.


Barafundel Bay

Clues to Pembrokeshire’s Norman history and ancient past are all around us with magnificent Castles at MANORBIER, CAREW and of course PEMBROKE is a must, and a ruined palace is at LAMPHEY.

 


St David's Cathedral

There is plenty to do in this fascinating County such as Horse Riding, Fishing, Walking the Coast path, golf and boat trips to CALDEY ISLAND or SKOMER OR SKOKHOLM ISLANDS.

 


Pembroke Castle

A visit to Bosheston Lily Ponds, Stackpole quay or the Green Bridge of Wales should not be missed or St. Govan’s Chapel.

 

 

 


Colby Lodge Gardens

Poyerston Farm is just about a one-hour drive from the National Botanical Gardens of Wales and Aberglassney Gardens.
Colby Woodland Gardens (A National trust property) is also worth a visit to explore the beautiful woodland gardens set in a tranquil and secluded valley with one of the finest collection of rhododendron and azaleas in Wales giving a riot of spring colour complimented by daffodils, bluebells and summer Hydrangeas., and you can enjoy a very special cream tea at the Bothy Tearoom at Colby where all the food is home cooked by Penny and Sam.
